Sprint Composition

  • Might have a sprint where it is just bug fixes - might add all bug fixes in a specific sprint

  • Can we still use Ewa 4 days of the sprint - ad-hoc testing would really help - this would be very valuable. She could do ad hoc testing, writing test cases, etc. anything that is valuable. Even if she does a timeboxed one day ad hoc testing, that would be valuable - one day timebox on QA and one day timebox in ACC.

  • Need to communicate to the user that the cost might not be worth it to do non-valuable things.

  • Can use playwright for automated testing - have we solved the issue of authentication?

  • Change management - could write the ticket every sprint

  • If we follow this method, might not have to do a full regression test. But might want to do a 5 day regression.

  • Need - conversation about who will decide what is a bug or not or UI change we are not going to make. Action item: feature we will never fix - e.g. Here is a bug that is not a bug. Team can search to see what decisions were made.

Dev work for each sprint will be pushed into a sprint branch (e.g. sprint 29 branch). Tested in the dev environment, then to QA, ACC and prod.

Items we are working on in sprint 27, 28, 29 will go into a sprint branch. We can create a sprint branch in sprint 29 to support - {need to think about it}.

Release process with shippable feature

We can ship in mid-sprint.

Explore - do we want to start shipping each story? We can just ship the story when it’s ready vs a specific release day. Ashiq will look into it. Meta does this.

Day 1 - Discuss what we can ship in the morning (we can tack it on the scrum), and ship in the afternoon. PO can inform clients of shipment.

Day 2, 3 and 4:

  • Dev - Any backlog items that need to be tested from days 9 and 10 of last sprint.

  • Dev cannot test backlog items they developed.

  • Dev, PO, Ewa, Maggie - Ad-hoc testing of app (30min to 1 hr.)

  • Dev - meeting with dev and QA sprint tickets and identify test cases as a group - discuss possible test cases for each ticket, which tickets interact. Test cases stored in DevOps.
