System Overview
...
The Delegations Information System (DIS V2) allows Transport Canada Civil Aviation Headquarters and Regional Aircraft Certification staff to enter and edit information for their Delegates via the Web, and to create statistical reports. DIS V2 has been built with an Oracle back end and a Web front end.
DIS V2 is used as a database for all DE (Designated Engineer), DAR (Design Approval Representative) and DAO (Design Approval Organization)/AEO (Airworthiness Engineering Organization) information. It is also used to track applications for delegation and provide statistical reports and other delegation information.
Good To Know
There are two distinct repositories. DIS-SID_Internet and DIS-SID_Intranet. The Internet version will provide information to the public in read only format (i.e no information will be uploaded or changed in the database by the external user). The Intranet version will have the administration features that will allow changes to be made to the information in the database.
Since they both fall under CAS-SAC, the links provided for the source code locations direct the user to CAS-SAC
Web.config needs to connect to two databases : DIS and DACP. DACP is used for to access ‘ACP’ tab on DIS application
Currently (Jan-2023), DIS-SIS Intranet has migrated to use these following references:
AjaxControlTookKit (3.5.40412.0)
Oracle.ManagedDataAccess (4.122.21.1)
CLFPage (4.0.0.0)
TCMailerNet (2.0.0.0)
Net Framework 4.7.2

View button (on APs and DARs) menu can not open a file attachment to view. |
It is i required to run DIS on EDGE with IE mode, then we need to add these pages under the Default Browser. Please follow the link MS Edge in IE Mode. Related task is #253812 -Unable to open Attachments and #239075 -Fix the View Attachment button
Then please look at the below screenshot and use these links to add the pages.

Where to find the DIS attachments? |
All the file attachments are stored on the shared network
For example,
Acc environment : \\webdatatest\wwwdocs\DETAILS
In order to get access to AD group an email is needed to be sent to the Web group to get the user added to the AD group.
Prod environment: asking the dev team or an administrator to give the access to the attachments
