The SIGS module was initially created to serve a TC/ ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) agreement to forward a copy of every Canadian Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Civil Aviation Service Alert (CASA) to every ICAO member (250+ countries) when published.
The module was later modified to include various Sig_types, thus expanding the type of recipients beyond ICAO members, that can be contacted during the MDM process.
