Uploading a new Document/template (Developer)
Here are the steps to import/work on templates for NAPA and NDWL
COPY the template to 'C:\Napa_templates\fee memo_dotm_1.dotm'
Copy the pbl to a location you will map to it later
Step 1
Remove the Source control from NAPA or check out the target
Step 2
Open the Target and add ______import_template.pbl to your path second line (The PBL can be found at \\ncrfs11\powerbld\NAPA\NAPA Templates\)
(You will likely use a pbl in a different directory)
Do a rebuild of the application.
NOTE We can’t really use Source control for this window/PBL since you can only have the object (wr_about_e) once in the directory.
Step 3
Open the wr_about_e window from the new PBL
Click on Import Template button to see the code/ Modify code as needed
You will need to create a directory on your C drive or modify the code (It is coded right now to 'C:\Napa_templates\fee memo_dotm_1.dotm')
If you need to see the values you need to go to doc_templates to see template_seqnum and doc_type_cd
NOTE Fee memo has 2 rows
Run NAPA in the database you want the template updated in
Open the about window and click on import template button
You should get messages if it worked or not. (If it doesn’t work, it usually has to do with spelling mistake (extra spaces))
Once completed remove the PBL from your library list.
NOTE we can’t really use Source control for this window/PBL since you can only have the object once in the directory.
If you need to work on a template you run NAPA
Open the Document/Certificate through NAPA.
Go to C:\NAPA2\ and grab the template to modify
NOTE: You don’t really modify it in C:\NAPA2\ since the next time you run the template the version from the database will over write it (unless you change some code) then you need to modify the templates all over again.
