Introduction

The EGIS platform provides a 3D client, known as a Scene viewer. 2D and 3D data can be added to a scene.

Why 3D

  • Some data is inherently 3D, like flight approaches

  • Some data is not located on the ground, like air spaces

  • Some situations are easier to comprehend in 3D

This is an example of a 3D scene. Like a web map, a scene is a collection of layers, styles, and extents which is saved as its own content item. This scene can then be shared to your colleagues.
