Gate 3 Architecture Performance

Gate 3 Architecture Performance

Overview

Initial load testing was performed on https://jshweb.tcgis.ca, which is deployed using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 using the recently approved Gate 3 architecture. Testing was done using the methods described in the parent article Load testing, using an updated egisloadtest.js test file.

Our eGIS Portal responded within 0.8s on average under heavy load (200+ virtual users) when tested from the TC network. On the Azure network Portal responded in under 25ms (0.025s) on average.

Our eGIS GIS Server responded withing 0.35s on average under heavy load. The shape of the MAX line indicates that some warm-up has taken place, or caching is involved. On the Azure network Server responded within 0.14s on average.

Compared to our current pilot:

While the original data from this chart copied from the parent article is lost, the graph shows very good performance which begins to degrade at full load.
