The SIGS module was initially created to serve a TC/ ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) obligation to forward a copy of every Canadian published Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Canadian Airworthiness Service Alert (CASA) to every ICAO member (250+ countries)
The module was later modified to include Sig_types, thus expanding the type of recipients beyond ICAO members, that can be contacted during the MDM process.
