ASD Organization

Figure 3 illustrates the ASD organization at a high level. This diagram shows the sectors being performed by the ASD organization.

The following figure (Figure 4) illustrates the interactions within the different ASD sectors. As illustrated, all sectors interact with each other to meet compliance requirements related to personnel and work being performed. For example:

  • the training division ensures that pilots, crewmembers and AMEs have the proper competency and qualifications to perform their tasks;

  • technical services division needs to obtain the aircraft flight Journey Logbook to update schedule maintenance, record data on specific components, review reported defects, etc.;

  • modifications to aircraft performed by the technical services is conducted after obtaining proper drawings and information from the engineering services division; and

  • Etc.
