A CAWIS userid is always uppercased and data_compressed (alpha and numerics only)
The Character limit is 10.
A new userid cannot be created, without providing an email address for the requestor. The system currently assigns the email of the person entering the new userid, if this field is left null.
Any user can do a password reset from the External website, provided that their email is up to date (Though, there are some issues with domains seeing CAWIS emails as Spam)
However, a User having the same email assigned to more than 1 userid, will not be able to perform a self-password reset (Many SDR users have multiple accounts for a multitude of reasons) and would need to email the WSDRS manager directly - WSDRS@tc.gc.ca )
Any external WSDRS account can be deleted by changing its password to "DELETE" (all uppercase), provided they have not yet submitted an SDR.
TC associated accounts are never deleted. (Where the user has a TC domain email)
However, any TC user not found on TC Directory is automatically deactivated overnight.

TU - READ ONLY (read only access to 5008 and WSDRS)
WA - SDR AME (SDR submitters having a valid AME number – functions exactly the same as role code WO)
WD - TC SDR DATA ENTRY (for TC users that maintain WSDRS)
WF - SDR FOREIGN CAA (for international Civil Aviation Authorities, (FAA, EASA for example)
WH - TC SDR HQTI (for the Continuing Airworthiness Technical Inspectors, only – this role also denotes that an “inbox” exists for that user, populated by reports pertaining to models mapped to personnel codes (TR46) on the model table (y62))
WM - SDR MFG/TCH (aka Manufacturer/Type Certificate Holder organizations. (Boeing or Embraer, for example) – Inboxes are allocated by MFG/MODEL associations on the TR87 table)
WO - SDR AMO/AOC/AME (SDR submitters with a valid AMO/AOC number or AME number – functionality is the same as “WA”)
WP - TC SDR PMI/SUPINT ( SDR users that are tied to companies in the NACIS views – their inbox contains all the reports submitted by these companies )
Note : Role codes beginning with a “W” all specifically pertain to functionality with the WSDRS subsystem
