The SIGS module was initially created to serve a TC/ ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) agreement to forward a copy of every Canadian Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Civil Aviation Service Alert (CASA) to every ICAO member (200+ countries) when published.
The module was later modified to include various Sig_types, thus expanding the potential type of recipients beyond ICAO members, that can be contacted during the MDM process.

CAA | Civil Aviation Authorities (ICAO members) are to receive copies of all AD’s and CASA’s issued by TC. This feature is currently restricted to entities having a valid email address.
