MS Access

Many of the Legacy applications that we will need to convert over to our newer technologies are written in MS Access so it may be good to make sure you are set up to be able to work with these apps and familiarize how the technology works to be able to understand the best choices for technologies for conversion.

Turning on your MS Access for use

MS Access comes as part of the MS Office 365 suite but is not turned on usually by default. To enable the MS Access these are the steps to follow;

1. Open up your Control Panel and go to ‘Uninstall or Change a Program’

2. Choose Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 and click ‘Change’ at top

3. Choose ‘Add or Remove Features’ and Continue

4. Choose your language (select both) and Continue

5. Change tabs at top to Installation Options and turn on Microsoft Access and click Continue

6. After Configuration Process completes you should have access to Access!
