How to Request a New RDIMS Classification
When starting new projects (or revisiting old projects), you may find that there are no valid classifications to use for your project. You’ll find a sample request for a new classification below that can be updated and re-used to suit your project needs.
Instructions
To request a new RDIMS classfication, send an e-mail to “DL OTT AFMHA RDIMS request” with the following information:
We would like a new classification created in RDIMS. The details are as follow:
Prefix: A
File Number: 1680-72-22-5-60
Security: U
Status: ACT
File Subject: WEB PROJECTS – SAFETY AND SECURITY – MARINE SAFETY & SECURITY – VESSEL REGISTRY (E-REGISTRY)
Classification: A 1680-72-22-5-60 UPlease let me know if there are any issues or concerns with this request.
In the example above, the selected file number was the first available file number found in under “1980-72-22-5-*” (represents any classifications under “WEB PROJECTS - SAFETY AND SECURITY - MARINE SAFETY & SECURITY”).
To find all current file numbers currently in use under 1980-72-22-5, run a search in RDIMS:
When choosing a File Subject name, please conform to the naming standard used by other similarly grouped classifications (e.g. WEB PROJECTS - SAFETY AND SECURITY - MARINE SAFETY & SECURITY - <ENTER YOUR PROJECT NAME HERE>).
