How to set up Custom DNS (*.tc.gc.ca)
It’s nicer to have a custom domain instead of something like pcpseafarerapp-seafarer-dashboard.azurewebsites.net. To do so, we will follow this tutorial using CNAME: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/app-service-web-tutorial-custom-domain?tabs=cname
TC’s IP is 198.103.96.11
TC’s Azure App Gateway is 52.139.2.228
Instructions
Get the domain verification ID
Duplicate ticket

in SMGS and update it with the corresponding values specific to your request. Keep closing the phase until it is in theChange Assessment & Planning
phase.
(if this is assigned to the support group to which you are not belong to, you won’t be able to change the status toChange Assessment & Planning
phase. so, please reach out to effective Cloud team contact to take it over. and you can skip to step 4 in this case after closeChange Review
phase)Send an email to peter.abercrombie@tc.gc.ca asking him to verify that you entered everything correctly and ask him to forward to SSC.
Once SSC has created the External DNS entries, continue from step 5 of the tutorial: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/app-service-web-tutorial-custom-domain?tabs=cname#5-enable-the-mapping-in-your-app.
Contact TC3oE or your Cloud Ambassador to set up the application gateway.
