The Transportation Security Information System 2.0 (TSIS 2.0) project is part of the transformation initiative to modernize inspections at TC. This project will address significant performance issues and architecture limitations to effectively support the current business requirements of both Aviation Security and Intermodal Surface Security Oversight programs. The application being developed is titled Regulatory Oversight Management (ROM), a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Commercial Off-The-Shelf product) hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud which can be reusable and customized for other programs that follow similar oversight processes.

Note:

This will be revisited after the PLANNING MODULE release on September 28th, 2022.

The Project has decided to no longer test the MS Field Service application (Preview App) on Windows devices until the application is available as a finalized product. In the meantime, we will continue to test the application on the browser. Per Microsoft, testing the browser should be the equivalent of testing the application once it is released as they should be mirror images of themselves. When we receive the BRD to use the mobile version of the application on IOS and Android devices (estimated to be in late April), we will start testing mobile devices for use by International and ISSO inspectors.

French Translations:

  • Business will provide translated text in PBIs when possible

  • Devs: All text must have translations or an (fr) at the end. If any have (fr), a PBI must be created and related to track any missing translations.

  • Testers: Check that all text is translated or has an (fr). If there are any (fr)'s, fail the test if a pbi for translations was not created.
