What is the MTOA platform?

myTC Account is Transport Canada’s online service delivery platform. It is a collection of Departmental Capabilities made up of User Features and Development Capabilities. These Department Capabilities identify common components across online services and ensure that they are built once and shared rather then duplicated.
It's goal is to support development teams to produce online solutions quicker while increasing the user experience for all users.

What does the MTOA platform allow me to do?

The MTOA platform is a collection of patterns, capabilities and microservices that you can utilize to standardize, and accelerate development of your service applications.

  • Account recovery

  • Authentication

  • Electronic signature (LOA2)

  • File upload with virus scanning

  • Email notifications

  • Downtime notifications

  • Service feedback

  • Service request dashboard

  • Service cards

  • TC officer admin UI

  • RDIMS integration via RAIS

  • Saving requests as work in progress

  • Status change tracking for service standards

  • Address lookup and validation via Canada Post
