myTC Account - Accelerated Service Request Forms (formerly Accelerated Forms)

The goal of this pilot application is to streamline and reduce the work involved in developing new external-facing online service applications. Generally, service applications undergo the following steps:

  • Stakeholder discussions, requirements gathering and UX research

  • UX prototyping

  • UI development

  • Business requirements coding

  • QA of UI, business logic, accessibility

Using the accelerated service-request forms Admin UI, forms are designed using a visual interface system to lay out the flow of a form. The result of this is that development time to create an interface is reduced, or eliminated since the UI can be created by non-developers.

The front-facing component of ASRF uses the layout created in the Admin UI and displays it to users using up-to-date WCAG (accessibility) standards. This means that QA time for testing accessibility standards is reduced or eliminated.

This standardized approach to create and display a UI significantly reduces the amount of time that technical staff would normally dedicate to designing, creating, and testing a user interface. This allows more time for developers and testers to focus on business logic.
