Agenda

To discuss our business and how we track our RP Transactions using our current GIS Application

Discussion

  • The original RP System was CAD+Excel

  • 2007 Pilot with Expert Consulting (?)

    • Oracle DB containing dcouments, parcels, properties

    • web map

      • WMS via GeoServer

    • tabular search

    • DFRP Reporting tools

This is now the Environmental Information System , and contains Real Property, Contaminated Sites, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Protection, and Storage Tanks.

The web map:

  • Uses many public basemaps

    • Google imagery an issue at the moment

  • Browser compatibility a problem

  • Trying to georeferenced vector data to imagery basemaps, but no standard for that reference

The data:

  • mostly unclassed

  • Created and maintained in MapInfo

  • There is a collection of ortho-imagery that EGIS could publish

    • Contact Vivian Petigrew (sp?)

Action Items

  • Chris would like to discuss the data maintenance component with our team

  • Maintain contact as EGIS progresses
