Executive Summary

In September 2021, Vessel Registry (e-Registry) went live in the Production Cloud environment. The project's first major release focused on managing service requests from existing vessel registry intake processes to the new e-Registry digital platform. The features in this first release included Service Request Management for Small Vessel, Workload Management of Service Requests, Search/Filter/Customization of the Service Request Dashboard, and Service Request Status, Details, and History. The features delivered are supported by MAACE's first shared components: Workload Management, List of Values, and Document Upload. These components are being integrated and re-used across all ongoing MAACE-Marine capital projects. MAACE is preparing the List of Values (LOV) component for use in other modes with demos planned for the MAACE-Aviation project teams.

The project was delivered using the Scrum framework with a Service Design approach supported by user research and design, user/stakeholder testing and feedback, and cloud-first and microservices architecture principles.
