What’s the difference between a “space” and a “page”?
A page contains information.
A space is a collection of pages.
Once the site space is unrestricted to public access, will a non-licensed user have access to view content in Confluence, or will they still require a license?
No license will be required for access by the general public.
Licenses will only be required for:
Users who create and modify content.
Users who need access to restricted pages.
Administrators.
Which link can we share with the general public once we make the site spaces “Public Access”?
Links to unrestricted pages and spaces are the same for both licensed and un-licensed users.
What terms are used in addition to “Public Access” and do they mean the same thing?
These all mean more or less the same thing: access without logging in to Confluence.

How do we configure “Public Access”?

The following steps are specific for TC:
Step 1 - Set Global Permissions at the Site Level
Only Site Admins have access to the admin panel.
Click
Edit Permissions
on the top right:Check the box under
Use Confluence
and thenSave all
Step 2 - Set Permissions at Space Level
Space admins will have a
Space Settings
button on the left hand side:Navigate to
Permissions
andPermissions
:Scroll to the section labelled
Anonymous Access
and clickEdit Permissions

How do you restrict pages from public access?
Pages with confidential information can be kept private by following these steps:
Click the padlock in the top right corner of a page:
Select
Only specific people can view or edit
By default, it will set:
The group
Everyone
=Has no access
The person setting permissions
You
=Can edit
Set up permissions.
Enter the group(s) and/or user(s) you would like to set permissions for.
Set their level of access to either
Can view
orCan edit
Click
Add
Click
Apply
Is there a way to export a list of Confluence users?
