  1. Data stewards only work in Prod environment.

  2. Relates to data governance

    • See Jiehua’s document on data governance

  3. Data steward uses ArcGIS Desktop to author content and associated metadata.

  4. As the data steward develops the content, they publish the content to the PRD environment as private (not shared) content.

    • If data needs to be shared among users during development, this should be accomplished using a private group

  5. When data governance is complete, the content is shared as appropriate (to groups, the organization, to everyone, or, via collaboration, to external agencies or to the public)
