Overview

Show-and-tell of our deployment process. The goal is simply to get eyes on our processes for awareness and feedback.

Minutes

  • EGIS deployment scripts for all 3 stages are in our DevOps repo

  • Scripts have readme.md files that give a high-level explanation of our deployment

  • A more detailed build-book is in RDIMS, and is references from the readme files

  • Demonstrated deploying an ARM template from PowerShell

  • Notes that install media, licenses and DSC scripts are copied to the VM D: drive

  • DSC templates should match the instance being deployed (dev, stg, prd, etc)

  • DSC is run from PowerShell

  • Python is installed with the esri software

  • Python config scripts are run as the final step
