Introduction
The Enterprise GIS (EGIS) project is, at its core, an installation of ArcGIS Enterprise. With this platform TC users will be able to

Manage Data
Share and Collaborate
What the EGIS project also brings to TC is data governance -- under the guidance of the Data Analytics project. Data governance ensures that data discovered by TC users is current, accurate, and authoritative. It also ensures that as data authors, TC data shared either within TC or to the public at large (FGP, Open Data), is also up to data and of the highest quality.
Making Maps and Apps
Start by discovering data, either by browsing the options or using the search box in the top right corner. This can be done right from the home page. Add any spatial content to your own personal map, and mash up this content with other data you find.
Save your map and publish it as an application, without writing any code! [TODO] Custom apps can be built on top of the platforms extensive API.
Manage data
Can interact with data from databases, ShapeFiles, File GeoDataBases, and many other formats. Publish your data from ArcGIS Desktop products to make it available in EGIS.
Share and collaborate
Only you can see your published data until it is shared. Share data within your groups, within TC, or to the public. Your own role may limit these option. The EGIS platform is intended to be open by default, meaning all data published will be considered, via the data governance process, for publication to the public.
Examples
Choose one or two based on your audience. Avoid showing the same thing to the same group multiple times.
Example 1 Basic Discovery
Any user discovers data, views it on their personal map. Note the authoritative designation.
Example 2 MASAS
A MASAS layer shared with us through ArcGIS Online. We plan to share relevant incident data to MASAS in the future via their API.
Example 3 OCTranspo
