System Overview

The Civil Aviation Integrated Management System (CAIMS) is defined as all the interrelated Civil Aviation activities necessary to manage and conduct the Civil Aviation Program.

IMS is an initiative arising from Civil Aviation Directive (CAD) 37 - Civil Aviation Integrated Management System.

The policy objective of this initiative is to continually improve the Civil Aviation Program and the ways in which it is delivered through implementation of the Civil Aviation Integrated Management System (IMS).

Critical to the achievement of this objective is the implementation of an Integrated Management System database to track improvement opportunities and best practices to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Civil Aviation Program in accordance with the requirements stated in Results for Canadians: A Management Framework for the Government of Canada. (RDIMS #281908)

Good To Know

From:

https://mytc-montc.tc.gc.ca/en/work-central/tools-services/applications-systems/air-applications-systems

“Civil Aviation Integrated Management System (CAIMS) is no longer an active application.

Should you wish to search for data, a limited version of CAIMS is available. You may click the links "€œQuick Search"€ and "€œView my Branch's Session" to view the sessions and assessments. However you will not be able to delete/ add/ edit records. [ NOTE : the link provided on MyTC is inactive ]

CAIMS was replaced in 2015 by the Transport Canada Corrective Action Plan Management System (CAPMS).” And CAPMS is linked to the Oracle schema “IMS”.

How-To and Fixes

After system decommissioning, this webpage

was left intact in order to allow the client to query older data in from the DEV region whenever desired as was agreed with Mike Clark prior to decommissioning request.
