*DAPLS Prod generates a batch of protected information on a production script server (NCRWKIT112988) each weekday morning that is transmitted to the MPDIS application.

DAPLS does not have a pre-acc or training database.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

DAPLS is the central hub for the following applications:

  • IDFS/Oracle Financial - sends and receives address information and invoice information on a nightly basis.

  • MPDIS (formerly CBN) receives licensing and medical information from DAPLS each morning. Sends booklet numbers to DAPLS each morning.

  • CADLIS sends and receives address information on a nightly basis from/to DAPLS.

  • CAWIS receives email and address information on a daily from DAPLS.

  • EMS sends suspension information to DAPLS on a nightly basis.

  • FTAE has a real-time link to DAPLS and will effectively be down if DAPLS is down.

  • CAMIS has a real-time link to DAPLS to display applicant information (name and address) and has a nightly feed to DAPLS of medical information.

  • GALRO communicates with external clients allowing them access to change addresses and other licensing information. This access will not be available during the outage.

  • CAS uses Flight Crew License data from DAPLS by connecting to the DAPLS from the application. This access will not be available during the outage.

2019-11-22 Change C203244 phase Change Approval - Title: Maintenance - Distributed Air Personnel Licensing System enhancement (DAPLS)

Need to modify the procedure PROCESS_IDFS_INTERFACE. The DAPLS application processes medical claims and creates invoices for IDFS (Oracle Financial) application each day. The vast majority of the claims are processed through the morning job, which applies the correct invoice amount of $56.21. However, occasionally a paper medical certificate is printed by regional users and these types of certificates do not go through the morning job – therefore the old financial amount of $55 is still in place for paper medical certificates. This fix to the Oracle Stored Procedure will ensure that the new amount of $56.21 will be applied to the medical certificates for all users.
