Rail Safety

Description

The Rail Safety Directorate develops and administers policies and regulations to advance the safety of rail transportation in Canada. We are one of ten directorates within the Safety and Security Group.

Our corporate headquarters is in Ottawa and we work in collaboration with the five regions:

• Pacific

• Prairie and Northern

• Ontario

• Quebec

• Atlantic

What we do

We are responsible for advancing the safety of the Canadian rail transportation system through regulations, outreach and oversight.
