How to get CAMIS Working When it Runs with Oracle.DataAccess Error (Transferred to Wiki)

If you have just pulled CAMIS and are getting the below error, then this should resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Tools → Options

  2. Go to Projects and Solutions → Web Projects

  3. Uncheck the option “Use the 64 bit version of IIS Express for web sites and projects”

  4. Verify that the correct library is selected. Different oracle libraries are used for running locally vs when building packages for the development, acceptance and production servers. See Selecting the correct oracle library (unmanaged Oracle)

  5. Click OK and rebuild the solution

  6. CAMIS should now run and show the splash screen
