  1. When I was on assignment with the Aboriginal Consultation Unit: TC Smart Maps made it easy to see where a proposed project was, which Aboriginal Groups were near the project, how far each Aboriginal group was from the project, etc so we knew which groups to engage and consult on the project. This eliminated the need for multiple paper maps.

Benefit / Outcome

  1. There is a similar mapping tool created by INAC, but I find TC Smart Maps a lot more user-friendly and intuitive, especially since I use Google Maps in my personal life.

  2. I can’t imagine locating /scoping projects without it.
