Scenarios

  1. I use TC Smart Maps in my capacity in the ACAP program.

  2. I previously had to use Google Map to map every single airport address to see the location—but this didn’t always reveal other airports in the area. In addition, I had to use the old paper copy CFS to see the relevant information about an airport. But since it was a paper copy, it was not updated regularly.

  3. TC Smart Maps has a specific ACAP layer that reveals all the eligible ACAP airports. It’s important to see them on the map so that we know their location and also their proximity to other airports to determine priority of projects based on access.

  4. In addition, I regularly use the airport info when evaluating projects (i.e. if an airport is certified or registered, which is their primary and crosswind runway, etc). As well, I check some of the CFS info (i.e. airport status and infrastructure). The information is critical for us in our program.

Benefit / Outcome

  1. TC Smart Maps has made my work more efficient and also more reliable because of regular updates.
