How to Reset a NACIS Password
The following are steps to reset a NACIS password:
Logon to the NACIS application
Select the menu items Personnel-->Transport Canada (TC) Person-->Search…
The Transport Canada (TC) Person - Search window opens. Select any necessary criteria on the Search window to find the person for which the password is to be reset and select the OK command button.
The Transport Canada (TC) Person - Standard List window opens. If more than one row appears in the list window, select the identifying row and then select the Detail command button.

The next step is to select the Reset Password command button as shown in the window below. A message is then issued signifying that the password has been reset. The password for the user is set to the default password Canada1.
Notify the user that the NACIS password has been reset and ask the user to logon to the NACIS application with their User ID and the default password Canada1 to ensure that it works. If successful, the user will then be instructed to set their new personal password. The password requirements are as follows:
Please note that for the Development, Pre-Acceptance, Client Acceptance and Production schemas, when a password is reset, the default password is Canada1. For the Training schema, the password is always Training1.
Resetting a password in the NACIS application is applicable to both NACIS and NAPA users as NACIS and NAPA share the same database and make use of common functionalities in certain areas. If a user has access to both the NACIS and NAPA applications, the user logs on to either application with the same password.
