Environmental Management
Description
Environmental Affairs works with the regions to:
Identify and remediate federally owned contaminated sites
We manage our services through these active divisions:
Environmental and Transportation Programs
Environmental Management
We coordinate our environmental duties and apply them to the facilities we own and operate.
The National Environmental Management System (NEMS) supports the Low-carbon government goal of the Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS). Its three-year cycle aligns with the FSDS cycle. The NEMS aligns TC's environmental programs with federal environmental initiatives and activities. TC captures the results of these activities in the Report on Plans and Priorities and the Departmental Performance Report. TC's three environmental programs are:
Environmental Protection (EP)
Environmental Assessment (EA)
Environmental Evaluation and Mitigation (EE&M)
