3-DATA Retention

While its helpful to have snapshots of the aircraft register at various points in time, when data anomalies arise, these files are large (20mb), so too many saved instances will cause server usage issues and complaints from the network people.

So we keep only, the FINAL report for each month and move it into :

    \\ncrfs345\GROUPS\AARD\AARD Public\CAWIS-REPORTS\AAIR-REPORTS\01-DAILY-STATUS

 (note: we used to produce this report 2-3 per week)

and delete any other copies that fall in between the 2 months ends

 (AAIRDATA-2021-07-08.XLXS, in this instance)

02-MONTHLY REVISIONS - contains the revision reports, of data submitted by the client, over the stated month. This is requested first business day of each month by the publications unit.

03-FORMS-MAILED - this is updated ANNUALLY, and it contains spreadsheets of the actual output data, used to print AAIR forms, for those operators that have either requested a hardcopy or are otherwise uncontactable.
