CAWIS MANUFACTURER/MODEL TABLE STANDARDS

CAWIS MANUFACTURER/MODEL TABLE STANDARDS

OVERVIEW

In 1981, the Continuing Airworthiness (CAW) division was created under the Transport Canada Civil Aviation directorate. To accommodate the needs of this new section, 2 mainframe applications were developed

  1. CAIS - Continuing Airworthiness Information System

  2. SDRS - Service Difficulty Reporting System

In the early 2000’s, these 2 systems, and 4 MS Access databases were brought together into one single application, CAWIS (Continuing Airworthiness Web Information System)

The Manufacturer/Model maintenance facility is central to all CAWIS subsystems.

See attachment MakeModel.xlsx for a detailed view of the data (This report is described in detail in a later section ) https://tcmarin.atlassian.net/wiki/download/attachments/2338258951/MAKEMODEL.xlsx
